Swedish clothing giant H&M has unveiled the seventh installment in its Conscious Exclusive collection, introducing new sustainable fabrics.

H&M continues its commitment to sustainable fashion with accessories made from recycled candlesticks and apparel made from discarded fishing nets and other nylon waste. Designs in the Conscious Exclusive 2018 collection pay homage to Swedish artists Karin and Carl Larsson.

The tapestries and embroideries by Karin Larsson, as well as contrasting pieces from the duo’s home and life, have inspired this new line of ready-to-wear clothing, lingerie, footwear and accessories. These influences are channeled via floral jacquards, abstract embroideries and motifs echoing objects from the pair’s home.

Furthering its commitment to environmentally sustainable and responsible fashion, H&M is exploring sustainable fabrics and materials. Like in its previous Conscious Exclusive collections, the Swedish retailer uses organic linen, cotton and silk, as well as Tencel and recycled polyester.

The brand introduces two new materials for 2018: recycled silver and Econyl, a fiber created from discarded fishing nets and other nylon waste.

The collection includes two long dresses – an Econyl dress with organic cotton embroideries, and a recycled polyester dress in a metallic green floral jacquard – as well as tulip-motif jewelry made from recycled silver and recycled polyester slippers.

To promote the new collection, the Swedish brand is launching a major advertising campaign fronted by Christy Turlington, Giedré Dukauskaité and Aamito Lagum, shot by photographer Mikael Jansson.
